Since I have been Ms. Wheelchair Kentucky I have had the opportunity to do many exciting things. One in particular was going to the Ms. Wheelchair America contest that was held in Des Moine Iowa. There I was able to meet others with disabilites from all over the United States who had a similar view of what we could do with our disibility which is anything as long as you put your mind to it.
Since I have held the title of Ms. Wheelchair Kentucky 2003 I have been all over the United States speaking about my injury and how to prevent it. I was a victim of a school shooting which caused me to be paralyzed from the chest down at a T4 level. While speaking on violence I have had the opportunity to share the abilites I still have.

I just recently graduated from Murray State University in December 2004 and I am now a counselor at the Calloway County Day Treatment Center where I work with troubled youth. This fall I plan on started my masters in either social work at Western or in organizational communication at Murray State. Next summer June 24 I will be getting married.
