Nancy Herzog, 1976

Nancy would like everyone to understand that she is proud of the accomplishments she has made. When she was growing up accessibility laws were unheard of but somehow her family and a special elementary principal championed her and saw that she was allowed to complete grade school.  Teachers, friends, and family guided her through high school where she was breaking down barriers. She went on to receive a BA from Ky Wesleyan College in Owensboro in 1961 with a major in art.  She later went back to KWC to get her teaching credentials and still later she received a MA from Western Kentucky University. Nancy represented Kentucky at the Columbus, Ohio National Pageant.
