Welcome to The Official Website of Ms. Wheelchair Kentucky.

Congratulations to Jaime Blanton, the new Ms. Wheelchair Kentucky 2008 who was crowned in November 2007.

"What a whirlwind weekend!

I am so thrilled to be representing the more than 800,000 Kentucky residents with disabilities.

I would like to thank pageant organizers and sponsors for a terrific event. More importantly, I want to thank my family and friends for their support."

Become Part of The Ms. Wheelchair
America Organization!

The mission of the Ms. Wheelchair America Program Inc. is to provide an opportunity for women of achievement who utilize wheelchairs to successfully educate and advocate for individuals with disabilities.

You can be part of Ms. Wheelchair Kentucky! You too can be part of this dynamic group of women in Kentucky.

We are currently searching for women to represent our great state of Kentucky. Contestants must meet the following criteria:

  1. A U.S. citizen between the ages of 21 & 60
  2. Utilize a wheelchair for 100% daily community mobility.
  3. Marital status is not a consideration
  4. Must be a resident of Kentucky for a minimum of 6 months.

Entry fees are charged for each contestant. Fees may be paid by the contestant or by sponsors a contestant may solicit. Contestants are judged on their accomplishments, self perception, communication and projection skills in the following:

  1. Personal interviews
  2. Platform speech presentations
  3. On stage interviews

This is an experience that can help you achieve your goals and show others you are the person you know yourself to be. The purpose of the Ms. Wheelchair Kentucky Pageant is to focus public attention on the abilities and accomplishments since the onset of disability of today's women. This is not a “Beauty Contest.” We celebrate each Candidate's self perception of what she can do and how she uses her communication skills to deliver this important message to both disabled and able-bodied groups.
