Ms. Wheelchair Kentucky 2010 Tyandriau Irving

Welcome to The Official Website of
Ms. Wheelchair Kentucky.

On Sunday, November 8th, 2009 a panel of judges declared Tyandriau Irving Ms. Wheelchair Kentucky, 2010. Tyandriau will travel about Kentucky and will represent Kentucky in the national program in Long Beach, California in July, 2010.

Tyandriau resides in Louisville with her mother and her 14 year old daughter.  In the last 12 years she has earned an associate degree in art from Jefferson Community College and a bachelor's degree in accounting from Spaulding University where she is currently working on her master's degree. Her goals are to complete her degree by August, 2011 and to drive a car again.

Tyandriau believes that life is a challenge  and it can be a large "maze" and if you do not pay attention and follow the rules, you can find yourself lost. She describes herself as blessed, an over-achiever, encouraging, conqueror and charming.

The Judges also chose Cheryl Medley as the lst alternate.  Cheryl was chosen Ms. Congeniality by her fellow candidates.

This is an experience that can help you achieve your goals and show others you are the person you know yourself to be. The purpose of the Ms. Wheelchair Kentucky Pageant is to focus public attention on the abilities and accomplishments since the onset of disability of today's women. This is not a “Beauty Contest.” We celebrate each Candidate's self perception of what she can do and how she uses her communication skills to deliver this important message to both disabled and able-bodied groups.
